Abstract: 

This session will discuss the current host-modulatory therapies in treating periodontitis. Focusing on the immune therapy approaches, such as cytokine inhibitors, NSAIDs, and specialized pro-resolving mediators.

At the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:

1.Understand the rationale of using host-modulatory therapy (HMT) to treat periodontitis.

2.Get familiarized with the current randomized clinical trials of HMT and what these trials are targeting.
