Abstract:
The goal of periodontal and peri-implant therapies is to preserve compromised dentition and ailing dental implants, and also change their long-term prognosis so patients can sustain healthy bone and soft tissue to support teeth and implants. Dental lasers have been advocated to achieve this goal over traditional nonsurgical and surgical treatments, and this presentation will inform participants on what is possible and what is not possible with the laser therapy.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
o Understand the role of dental lasers in periodontal disease and peri-implant disease treatment
o Apply treatment concepts that have been discussed
o Understand advantages and limitations of laser-assisted dental treatment
